Strap On, Take Off

Unless it’s Sunday, then you’re probably gunning it across the highway, hitting just about every speed bump and pot hole along the way. The trouble is, you’ve got cargo, and its getting jostled from start to finish. What can you do to make sure that your cargo is secure? How can you be certain you won’t arrive at your destination with a truck bed or trailer full of shattered debris? There is, as there has ever been, only one true solution: winch straps.

With a solid strap winch, say 4” winch straps, you can cart even the most fragile cargo across the country and through the cruddiest, most neglected roads in the whole of the Western hemisphere, and not have a worry in the world for the safety of your charge. Of course, there are many wonderful variations on this most useful of traveling tools, such as the tie-down ratchet strap, the winch hook strap, and even special trailer ratchet straps for when you’ve got a truly massive load.

You would be a complete and utter fool to travel otherwise. Can you imagine the massive amounts of damage that would be dealt to your cargo if you let it jump and dance around like an addled Iggy Pop, unsecured, unprotected, certain to make very bad and life-altering decisions? Why, you’d end up on your needs, tears streaming from your eyes as you survey the utter destruction you’ve left in your wake.

In fact, that can be an even bigger problem: unsecured cargo can fall right off your truck or out of your trailer and end up on the road, where other motorists can end up doing real damage to their vehicles. You’re legally liable for that, and if you need to drive cargo around for a living or just because you can’t afford to hire someone else to do it for you, then you probably can’t afford the lawsuits you’re inviting without a good set of straps.

You’re far better off protecting your cargo and your finances by keeping everything strapped down with secure winches, hooks, straps, and ratchets. Snug and warm and all bound tightly together, your cargo will be only too happy to stay quiet and more importantly all in one piece. The best part of it is, ratchet straps are cheap, effective, and easy to store. Just toss them under your car seat when you’re done and bam! They’re ready for you when next you need them.
